LIVE SESSIONS

I have co-organized many open-mics as an MC and musician, for Altamira and Slamélodie.

These sessions in which anyone can grab a microphone and start a song or a poem or a piece of music allow for amazingly rich interactions. It's always a thrill to see new music emerge from spontaneous, unprepared jams between people who may not know each other prior to the event.

The intense creativity liberated in these gatherings is a source of energy for everyone, and it allows to mix people of all generations and cultural background.

This "proximity music" echoes my early experiences in african villages, where I witnessed for the first time the phenomenal social power of music.
